We have had our own Pray & Play teams since 2004, when we joined the Pray & Play League founded by Immanuel Lutheran Church on the city’s East Side.  This five-month program begins in January and February with practices in the Spirit of Hope gym.  By March games begin with teams from around the city.  Pray & Play’s philosophy is built around mentorship, education and sportsmanship.  Players are expected to do more than play basketball.  They must be actively working for good grades in school and participate in mentoring and educational programs.  Pray & Play is open to anyone in grades 5-12.  Registration begins around January first.
